I’m a typical man, it seems, in that if I have at least a week off work then I stop shaving.
I resent having to shave for work, so this is a kind of rebellion against… something or other. After about 5 days, the face becomes so itchy that the beard must be removed, but for those few days, I have made a stand again something or other.
What? Why Bother? 
Lucky for me, I’m not in a customer facing role at all, so I can be as vagrant-like as I want at work. I know what you mean about the 5 day thing though, I get all rashy too….not a good look.
