Music

Andrew Cotterill is involved with the following:

Far Black Furlong
The premier ambient/neofolk/neoclassical/improv/electronica band has Andy to do all the ‘sound design’ and stuff like that.

Cotterill & Kearns
Shropshire’s leading Ryan Adams/Lloyd Cole tribute band. Sort of. No, it’s mostly original stuff played by Andrew on the acoustic guitar and Rob on the electric guitar. We’re actually quite good. Come new year, there’s a dangerously high chance of us playing live. No, really.

Mink15
Funk/Trip-hop/soundtrack. Just how funky are these guys? Very. If  you think Massive Attack crossed with Isaac Hayes you might be in the right area.

spookydirt
Ambient space music. Think Brian Eno crossed with Biosphere and Stars Of The Lid. With a little bit of ‘Hitch-hiker’s guide to the galaxy’ (the radio show).

You’re on my favourite’s list, so either I’ve stuck you there to contact later ( as in now ), or I’ve already contacted you. Anyhows, just interested really in how you go about writing music stuff. I have a fair number of loops done with the keyboard that I just can’t build into anything. Take a listen at http://www.myspace.com/markpuk or http://drop.io/markpmusic ( also markpmusic3 ) password=musicman
If you can comeup with some ideas, I’d be very interested to hear them.

    • I’m pretty sure I replied a few months back – i sent you a probably very long annoying email about one of the tracks on your drop.io page (don’t know which off top of my head). Not a good time to ask me about my music – the wheels have pretty much come off music-wise, completely blocked for about a year, don’t know how to do it myself at the moment. will get in touch if it ever comes back.

Bummer dude….don’t remember getting an email, although my old email address that I used to use is now defunct. If you do ever get back in touch, best use my work mail – mark dot pacey at bnymellon dot com. If you can be arsed to listen again, I’d appreciate any feedback you’ve got, no matter how annoying 😉

An outstanding share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a coworker who has been doing a little research on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast because I stumbled upon it for him… lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thanks for the meal!! But yeah, thanks for spending some time to talk about this subject here on your blog.

  5. Bitcoin has shown amazing increases in the last few years and there will be some that are claiming that the success is about to end and Bitcoin plummet. Those of us continue believe in the concept of an independent system away from the control of the financial establishment. We will not accept that the currency is finished. We will be staying with Bitcoin and I am quite confident that it will continue to rise faster than previously. Banks are naturally worried about the expansion of crypto currency. This concern is driven by the fact that bitcoin does not incur a small part of the fees that high street banking requires. The use of a manual site similar to Bitcoin Surfing can offer you the chance to find any new offers are out there in the world of bitcoin. Bitcoin Mining is a realistic way to start growing a Bitcoin investment. Create a free Bitcoin account at Coinbase and you will be given $10 deposit of Bitcoin for nothing to get you started. There are many of offers to get you involved in the new currency and Bitcoin Surfing is the most straight forward way to start. Best of all it is free.
