Song-a-day #4: Tuesday. This didn’t turn out as well as I’d hoped. For a start, I spent ages working on chord changes, before realising I didn’t need any more chords, and time was running out to get things finished, like write some words and things like that.
I was aiming for a late-sixties vibe, maybe Tim Buckley-esque, except the vocals are almost whispered. It would have been a lot better if I’d sung a bit louder, but it’s not easy singing confidently when you barely know how the song goes, as you only finished writing the words 30 seconds before. The end I wanted psychedelic, but I just couldn’t find the right thing to play (although there is some backwards slide-guitar). This is what happens when you leave things to the last minute.
Having said all of that, it doesn’t sound all that terrible, considering
