I love podcasts. Ok, there are probably completely useless, unlistenable podcasts, but I don’t bother with them. Not only are they more convenient sometimes than waiting for a particular radio broadcast, you can tell iTunes to download them for you automatically, and they are – mostly? – free. I like that bit too.
In fact I like them so much, that I am running out of time to listen to them all.
My favourites would be: Kermode and Mayo’s film reviews, Word Magazine, A History Of The World In 100 Objects, NPR: Live Concerts
The first two are basically people arguing in an amazing manner – about Movies and Music respectively – the 3rd is a long-running and fairly informative Radio4 series, and the 4th is, amazingly, a load of complete concerts by (mostly) US indie and folk artists. And Tom Waits.
Did I mention that they are all free?
(And no, that’s not me in the photo. And i don’t listen on headphones all that much.)
I never really got into podcasts. But then I don’t get that much time to listen to music / TV / video really. ( Couldn’t tell you what I manage to do with my time instead mind you, just seems to disappear ).
There’s a guy who’s hopefully going to help me move on / finish one of my songs. Called I Dream Of You. Links are over at my bloggy.
I’m sure you’ll have seen if you’ve wandered over to my place, but I’m off for the next three weeks, as we’re due our first kiddie day after tomorrow ( 9th ). I’ve got some time booked off work which takes me nicely into the new year.
So Merry Christmas, and a very Happy New Year, and I’ll catch up with you again next decade !! ( I have left some scheduled posts if you get really really bored ).
Merry christmas to you and your family!
(i manage to catch some of your posts, i’ve not been spending so much time in the interent of late, so i’ve missed a few. i should be back to normal by the new year)
