Bloody Pigeons!

I’m trying to grow shallots (and onions) in the yard, in plastic troughs. This would be a lot easier if the pigeons* weren’t rooting them up. This seems to happen every couple of weeks, and it’s getting on my nerves. It’s not as if they are even eating the shallots, either.

I’ve even put net over them, but it doesn’t seem to stop the buggers.

Luckily, the onions are a bit too heavy to pull out.

*It’s possible that it’s not pigeons after all, in which case I apologise to all flying rats.
